The findings of ancient prunings and rootstocks are evidence of the little known viticultural history at Fabbrica. In the heart of this agricultural region, Philippe and Tonie Bertherat decided to restore the old vineyards to splendor.
Detailed soil studies revealed many similarities between the terroir of Fabbrica and that of the Northern Rhone in France. Namely, an active limestone, clay soils, marine deposits (sand and shells) and compressed rocks that release mineral elements and microelements, all giving the potential for aromatic, perfumed and perfectly balanced grapes.
